Military Assets and Vehicles

[2025 Subaru Crosstrek]

Would LOVE to see some assests from major war times (WWII, Vietnam, Cold War, Modern), to plop around the world, to maybe build a "Military Base" or "Military Trains" of sort.

Then we could get some trains, planes, and trucks to go with them! Examples would be the Deuce and a half truck, C47 Skytrain, I have no idea for trains..

Anyone else think this would be cool?

TF1 had a cool mod with flat car wagons that carried modern tanks. (Military tanks.) I thought it was pretty cool and used it on several of my maps.

And I'm a peace loving guy that's relatively harmless. :)

I don't mean as a way of setting up an entire war map, just simple stuff like a military base, or maybe even a museum.

For example I was thinking of making a map based on where I used to live, and a MAJOR part of that area is Aberdeen Proving Ground. So realistically for map design I would need some war time assets.

Either way I think atleast WWII assets could fit into the game since we have the steam era, and steam locomotives were heavily used to facilitate American war time industry.

This is a transportation game, not another kind of game. I can see transporting tanks between military bases (would there be that much recurring demand?), but that's a lot of modding.

Yes. I have no idea why but the British army constantly moves their APCs and tanks around. (I live in an area where tank and APC training goes on a lot and I see them coming and going along the A31)

For the OP, in TPF there were mods like military tanks, jeeps and trucks so you could build a cool looking military base. I am sure that they will be converted eventually

honestly, that "fear" makes no sense to me.
as long as these assets arent made with swastikas on them, there is nothing that says people cant enjoy the game how they like, now is there?

for example, i'm currently playing on a self-created tropical island in the 1950's/60's and i would love to scatter around a few broken down bunkers and rusty tanks/crashed planes in remote jungle locations where i only have a small traintrack going by, because you often find such relicts on pacific islands nowadays.
there currently isnt any mod like this on the steam workshop so i cant do that at all.

there is pretty much a lack of nice assets overall in the game in my opinion and i would love to see them expand upon those a lot in the near future.
this is basically a modeltrain-y game after all for me(and lots of others).

Here's a mod that add military transport vehicles to the game. Different vehicles are available at different times so you need to enable the no end dates mod to see them all at the same time.
