May I ask why you don't like it?
I really liked the whole "scarred terrain" thing TF1 had going, where by the end of it all you had the leftovers of your older work still in the terrain.
I agree. It would be nice to have a toggle, so that when you are planning track routes and making mistakes, it can restore the land. But once you have the route set, removing tracks or roads leaves the evidence, the history behind.
Also, it was beneficial to be able to use track laying as landscaping tool, for example when building bridges. If you needed a bridge over 2 track section in nice manner, i made 4 tracks, built the bridge and removed the outside tracks. Pillars are symmetrically and far enough from the live tracks.
For sure. The developers have shown they can do both, so a toggle for both would be nice. Maybe also a toggle for "Sold vehicles drive to depot to be sold" too :D
