AI will need better game optimization first since the really game’s performance heavy.
Multiplayer though, game’d need to find ways to get mods to other players, including them manual mods, so, probably not. Unless it’s a forced vanilla game.
(BTW, it ain't happened after all these years. What does that tell you?)
Just because old transport games did it doesn't mean Transport Fever should, nor does every game need to have a competitive or cooperative element to it. Sometimes people want to solve a puzzle or build something on their own.
It'd likely be optional for players, however it's development would take away focus and resources from improving or expanding other aspects of the game.
No such update could be expected in this game.
I'm sure lots of us look back on games like TTDX with fondness for various reasons but time to bring it into the 21st century. This game is beautiful and seems to play well, so why not add features even if other games have or had them? If the devs can do it better than others then they should go for it. Hopefully it won't take too many iterations.
(If you "bring it into the 21st century", it wouldn't be TTDX anymore, would it?)
The solution is for current games to add the features people want. Not tell people to go back to Pong or All Star Tennis 99 because despite any nostalgia, people understandably want to play newer games.
