The game itself, does do better than TPF1, but it remains an abomination of jaggies and holes.
Like I said "...one of the great modders (Enzojz).... is busy working on (it)" Keep up the great work. We are waiting with baited breath!
Remove tracks, pull road in, press M/N to adjust the height for the middle section of the road. Ensure it's deep enough and build railway over it on a bridge. Looks a lot nicer than tunnel.
Except that there are limitations as regards what can be built on a bridge. Therefore tunnels are sometimes needed. The old underpass from TPF1 will be much appreciated when it can be done.
What kind of limitations? On TPF1 it was a mod, not vanilla game which allowed that underpass.
Limitations:
You cannot have multiple switches on a bridge. Though it is better than TPF1 was.
You cannot have platforms or buildings on the bridge.
If you are playing the game as a Tycoon game, sometimes you have to to get goods to both sides of the station. Or you have to have station buildings on both sides.
If you are playing as a simulation, then many many stations have these underpasses, and it is nice to recreate them in some fashion.
