Yes and yes. I don't know the length (400m?) but if I remember it right 12 tracks.
Edit: It's 320m and from what I have seen in a YT LP it's 8 tracks when you place the station, but I have seen stations with more tracks. Maybe combined with freight it's up to 12. Don't know.
Thats a bit disappointing (I usually keep all my trains to 320m in Transport Fever) I was hoping for longer trains in TF2!.
Keep in mind that when first placing rail stations, there's also no option to have through tracks, despite the fact that we know that it's possible. Just because that's the longest/most tracks you can initially place, doesn't mean you can't add more modules to it to make it longer or have more tracks/platforms.
It's been a long time since I actually counted the wagons so I don't remember exactly. But probably somewhere a little over 30.
Schweetness!!!
it's not because you've a long train that the platform has to be as long as the train...
The UIC ( https://uic.org/ ) has normalized the length of platform to 400 m. However there is some longer ones... By example 480m for the TGV.
Also this game isn't meant to be realistic. It doesn't happen like that to load or unload a freight train.
