Game crashing with no errors
My game is becoming unplayable now due to constant crashing between every 2-20 minutes.

The stdout file isn't showing anything related to the crash (The last modified date is before the crash when it was making an autosave).

Memory and CPU on my computer isn't maxing out either.

I do have some mods active on my save but I can't tell if any are causing the crash as I don't have any error messages.

Lastly, no memory dump files are created when the crash occurs.

Any help would be appreciated. I also cannot find where bugs or feedback is meant to be posted so any redirection on where I can report this would also be appreciated.

Edit: It seems like I just run out of both physical and virtual memory. Transport fever is using 22GB which isn't enough for my 16GB system to handle (even with an extra 12GB as virtual memory). I think it's poor for a game advertised to only need 8GB to be using 22GB. If you experiencing similar crashes it is probably due to a lack of memory on your computer.

Edit2: Launching a save after returning to the main menu uses considerably more memory than launching a save after completely restarting the game.

You're not alone. This is getting ridiculous, No warning, no error message no errorlog. Game is at the moment unplayable if you don't mind reloading every 5 min. And then wait 3+ min. for the game to load.

Does that mean your getting the same sort of crashing without the use of mods? Are you using any mods?

Same here. Game Crashes without errors. So, am i right, this game doesnt have got an error.log? crash.log? No mods, crashes for example in the map editor too.

Same issue. Just started. I've reinstalled it, validated the files (when I hit local files, it now sends me to my file explorer). Can't play game as it is.

The error log you're looking for is at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\##YourUserID##\1066780\local\crash_dump\stdout.txt

If the game log doesn't indicate why the game is crashing, check your windows application error logs (in the Event Viewer, under Windows Logs -> Application) . Chances are you may find your cause in there. In particular, look for resource exhaustion or TDR errors.

Thanks for the tip :)
The log reads as follows:

Welp, that's certainly a new one. Haven't seen this error before. A cursory search through Google doesn't yield anything specific, only that it affects a lot of applications. Seems to be one of those generic things that will be difficult to track down. Sorry, wish I could help. Is this the only TPF2-related error that you've found?

buffer overflow 0xc0000409
and breakpoint reached 0x80000003

enough Ram /pagging file?
excepted the game from AV?
reinstalled or updated GPU drivers?

Do a search in the System log (Windows Logs/System) for "low virtual memory condition". If you find this entry, check if it corresponds to your TFP2 crash. This sounds suspiciously like an error related to incorrect page file settings.

Thanks for the help.
Yep it's there:

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: TransportFever2.exe (1468) consumed 20938706944 bytes, steamwebhelper.exe (956) consumed 314331136 bytes, and AVGSvc.exe (11412) consumed 196718592 bytes.

The above warning occurred at the same exact time as a crash.

It seems that when the warning occurs at the same time as a crash, it is an "application hang".
But there are "application errors" that occur without a warning.
Warnings can also occur without a crash occurring.

I was getting crashes and warnings before the January Update.

Looking through the release notes of that update:
"We are aware of an issue related to RAM usage. The less RAM your system has, the larger maps you play, and the more mods you use, the higher the risk that you experience crashes. We will soon release a next update to address this issue. "

I assume as I am using large maps and have mods that this is the reason I am getting crashes so regularly.

Not sure that my crashes are the same as yours but I found a solution which was to increase the page file size in windows. I followed the instructions here - https://www.thewindowsclub.com/increase-page-file-size-virtual-memory-windows
I found someone in another thread increaded theirs to a minimum of 10Gb and a maximum of 20Gb. No idea why it worked but my crashed have disapeared now :steamhappy:
