City Destinations Private Transport
Hi,

Has anyone any idea how this works? All the other needs of the city are very clear to me, except this one. How I increase the Private Transport destinations need of a city to help it grows?

You provide more destinations for citizens to drive their private vehicles to by providing road connections to other cities, I believe.

Yes, as Rod said. The quicker the road type and the straighter the road goes towards other towns the more destinations the public will be able to reach using their cars. They don't actually have to make such trips though to benefit from the bonus modifier, they simply need to be able to be in reach of them if they wanted to. The year you are at will play a big part in this since the slower the vehicles are that the public own and the slower the roads are connecting the towns the shorter the distance they will be able to reach. But both of those things become faster in the modern years.

Makes sense. I'm still in 1914 and even connecting a city to 5 other the private connections bonus is only 20%. Slow roads and vehicles.

The number of targets also depends how much time it takes to reach the targets (or if they are currently too far away) so with better(faster) private cars you will also get more targets / city growth.

I'm stuck! I have restarted Chapter 2 Mission 12 5x now. I can't for the life of me get private transport to 400. I've made all kinds of amazing roads between the three cities. Nothing.

I haven't played that mission yet. But if the 3 towns in question are not big enough than the roads between them will not allow for 400 destinations. Try growing the towns more by delivering products or making your own transport between them.
