Cloud Save Syncronisation
I cant get this game to save and synchronise on steam between two different computers. All the settings are correct in my steam and on the game preferences screen, but it says that 0 bites are stored in the cloud for the game.

I believe the game supports this feature. Is anyone else having an issue or even someone where it is working ok so that I know it can actually work?

The game doesn't support Steam cloud due to saves being too large and having multiple saves they can easily exceed the 1 GB limit set on steam.

You'll need to set up your own cloud based solution with enough space or do it manually.

I don't believe the game does support cloud save on steam (as far as I know)

Saves are stored here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\NUMBERS\1066780\local\saves
Settings are stored here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\NUMBERS\1066780\local\settings.lua

Uninstall the game and all will be lost, unless you backup.

Thank you. I thought I saw that cloud game saving was supported on the game! Now that I know I will set up an alternative save location using Onedrive. Thanks

This is actually WAY harder than it should be. You cant load up a save game file from anywhere aside from what appears to be the steam directory. So I cant just have saved game files from other machines to open up.

So is the only way to have both games installed on a cloud drive on two different machines? But then Steam will only allow you to create a directory in an empty folder, so it would be a different place on a different machine.

Is ANYONE out there able to actually play this game on two different computers in any way at all?

After you've copied the save files from "Computer 1" to Onedrive, on "Computer 2" you must copy those files from Onedrive to the directory tomtalk24 mentioned:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\NUMBERS\1066780\local\saves

Yeah, I think I have it now, thanks. I think maybe also the 'profile' one needs to be copied to be able to get to your campaign history, because the save on its own doesnt do it I dont think

Shame that the game does not have a steam cloud. I lost all save and I don't know why. I entered the game and it was empty there. I have steam achievements and I have to do the whole campaign again.

Oh no.. I wish there was a good solution for this. They could let us choose one save to backup via Steam Cloud to solve the 1 GB limit problem. I want to play on GeForce Now and without Steam Cloud Save support there is no way to get my save transfered to the GFN rig :(

@teralink yeah, ha, I was disappointed as well, geforce now is super sick in performance. shame with the save games

To avoid having to copy/paste saves you create a local cache folder in the sync directory (i.e. a one cloud folder) then use symlink to the save path.

1. Create Cachefolder: C:\CloudSyncService\TF_Saves
2. Copy all the save files from steam directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\$STEAMUSERID\1066780\local\save > C:\CloudSyncService\TF_Saves
3. Delete save folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\$STEAMUSERID\1066780\local\save
4. Use windows cmd to create a symlink:
mklink "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\$STEAMUSERID\1066780\local\save" "C:\CloudSyncService\TF_Saves"

Obviously you'll need to change your variables in there, but this way it automatically syncs and you don't need to constantly copy files.

I'm using this with my qnap NAS to sync between my laptop and desktop, works flawlessly.

Maybe another way: Make sure, onedrive is on the same hdd as steam is. Share the onedrive-folder and set the folder as network drive. Then add this network drive to your steam library. Steam autodetect that both drives have a library and manage them together.
