That also ties into larger reagonal maps with large core cities and smaller suburban and rural towns/villages in between. so you can built regional networks along side with the major entercity mainlines. just that alone would had a whole new layer of realism that I've not seen before except for maybe Simcity 4 and 5(witch I hated). With large regions broken up into smaller metropolitan regions with farms and small rural communities in between.
I've also noticed a lot of people mentioning multiplayer. But look at what happened to Simcity 5 a total disaster. but a multiplayer city/transportation game is possible it just needs to be done right. meaning you can invite a friend to your game. But unlike simcity 5 they must keep the single player and multi player separate of each other meaning the game is divided in half one is off line mode the other is online multiplayer mode that wont activate your mods.
