I can only recommend this to fans of Spice and Wolf or if it's on sale for $10.
If I hadn't already liked the series, I probably wouldn't have bought this.

This is a VR experience, not a game.

The experience is pretty short for the asking price.
You pretty much see everything in less than an hour.

There are 3 chapters which are about 10 minutes long each.
They are fun interactions between Holo and Lawrence.
I was overjoyed hearing the voice actors reprising their roles, it's been a very long while.

Then you have the "interact" mode, which is just looking at the same scene and highlighting some objects with your headset. You're not able to point and click in this mode and the checklist of stuff to do is pretty short. You look at objects and see Holo reacting to them. You can also pet her.

The last thing you'll probably be doing is replaying the story to find all the coins.

Overall, this makes me want an actual season 3 of Spice and Wolf to happen.
I purchased this to show my support for the franchise and I do not regret it.

Steam needs a mixed review option, because whether or not this is worth it depends on how much you like the source material. This is a 20 minute anime episode but in VR, and if you sit through that episode you can give Holo a headpat. Is that worth $20? Guess that depends on how lonely you are. That said, 10/10 would headpat again.

It’s one of the best romantic medieval fantasy anime series. Extremely short story ~ 20 min. and you're basically buying an anime episode. The quality is really good and you can play it without a VR headset.

I highly recommend this game for fans of the anime series.

Playing via PC, Love it

It is able to be played without a VR headset but I'm sure it is very lacklustre compared to how it was meant to be played, you cannot directly interact with Holo but you do very much enjoy her company.

The main story is only about 30 minutes long (not quite worth the money in terms of playtime), and has a interactive mode (which also can probs be done within maybe 5~10 minutes), the PC controls are lacking and the settings aren't really there either, but its not too bad, very cute game, ended up taking hundreds of screenshots.

The story is quite enjoyable and seems to be very high budget with the animations. Found myself laughing and smirking to a lot of their banter. The scene transition was nice too.

Holo is very emotive, and very much alive, it makes it almost worth the high price.
I personally do not regret buying this glorious short game.

As it's primarily made of vr, the lines of the characters seem come jagged from afar but whenever Holo comes close to you, its very crisp.

Would recommend, but probably not full price.

IMPORTANT: You can't headpat with just a mouse and keyboard.

The story is decent, like a 15 minute Slice-of-Life short. A nice touch is that you can control the volumes for Holo and Lawrence separately. Interactive mode is very limited unless you have VR equipment.
If you're a person with a Holo avatar and a Holo shrine in your closet then this is what you've been waiting for and you should hurry up and get it. If you're literally anyone else then you're probably not going to be very satisfied.
