Issue when trying to play multiplayer: "Your connection to the host has been lost."

Hi community,

I am trying to play this game with my friend. After completing the first mission, we tried to connect via multiplayer mode but when connecting, we keep on getting the message "your connection to the host has been lost."

Has anybody faced the same issue? Is there a fix to this?

Quick update - we found a way to make it work:

When the friend enters the game, the host has to spam the enter & space keys.
Additionally, we also turned of the steam cloud save option before starting the game.

Before all of this, we tried port forwarding, switching to a VPN etc. Nothing else worked.

Just spam your keys people!

can you explain the process a little clearer sorry im having the same issue and tried what you said but i was unable to get it to work
