Evil West has native support for DualSense controller's basic functionality on PC using USB connection without the need of SteamInput (correct bindings and UI).
The game currently does not support advanced DualSense features (HF/AT) on PC and we are tracking issue with no vibrations over USB.
Hello there,
Based on your report, we are currently tracking issue with native wireless support (without SteamInput).
However I am unable to reproduce issues with incorrect UI/controlls using wireless DS via SteamInput Playstation controller support, or via native support over USB.
Ensure there is no additional input emulation enabled or that you do not have secondary input drivers or devices (oher gaming hardware, controllers, pedals, racing wheel, etc.)
Please see above in case it applies to your situation.
right click the game > properties > controller > disable steaminput in the dropdown
Did you use a PS4 or PS5 controller? I have enabled playstation controller support but it shows xbox still. This is on a ps5 controller and wireless.
Same issue is also happening with DualShock 4 (PS4) controller upon further testing.
Both will work over USB with or without SteamInput unless another controller or input emulation is in place (such as HID hide, DSX,DS4Windows, etc or Razen software, Xbox controller plugged in and so on.), with their correct UI elements.
In any acceptable combination (native USB connection, USB+SteamInput and Wireless+SteamInput), both DualShock 4 and DualSense do have their PlayStation markings on PC Steam release of Evil West.
If you still have troubles, please send us DXDiag or list of input drivers/devices if you have multiple of them.
