Ugh! Looks rough! Repetitive gameplay 🤮
A few ppl mentioned already that this was made for "last gen" consoles.

But the graphics are not my grape, really.

It's the repetitive gameplay.

Now that there are gameplay-videos, they ALL look the same:

- Shoot monster from a distance
- Grapple-hook them close
- Uppercut them into the air
- Machinegun air-finisher

It's really bad when you watch actual gameplay and it gets repetitive after 3 minutes because the same thing happens over and over.

Mind you: I'm talking about the gameplay-video here on steam.

As in: "I'm talking about the gameplay video which was hand-picked by the marketing department, to show the most impressive this game will ever be".

Good lord, it's gonna be a pooperado! :casual_poop:

On the other hand, it saves us money. I didn't have to wait for the reviews to not-buy. THank you, I guess.

Without a demo its hard to tell what gameplay feel is like. I have serious worries after they destroyed Shadow Warrior IP.

Well some people just can't appreciate simpler things, like the freaking wild west theme! Even if you don't like the gameplay (which looks fun enough to me), you have to admit there are a severe lack of 1st and 3rd person western action games period. All we pretty much have is GUN and Call of Juarez, barely few others, or waiting for almost another damn decade for red dead.

You are wrong, appreciating little things has nothing to do with it. We have seen games that look beautiful and so what when their gameplay sucked.

idk what examples you're speaking of, because i can enjoy many things despite how it plays to the norm. You can even debate how "repetitive" and samey many old games can be, like dagger fall and such. or how many new games do have simplistic mechanics but people find it endearing regardless. There is also a different level of appreciation of things when you know more about a setting. Its why i'm interested in something like Wu Long, I've actually looked upon the stories of three kingdoms period and the other dynasties. I personally really want a detective game based on the crazy tang dynasty like Detective Di Renjie lol. Or a game based on Qin dynasty besides Prince of Qin. This is also why i'm excited for a wild west game I easily get immersed in this stuff done well and seeing the game play for this it just looks fun enough for me to enjoy.

Funny, devs said they were inspired by god of war combat, if you look at gameplay videos you can see a pattern, some animations look very similar to kratos when he fights enemies with bare hands and shield, now i really enjoyed god of war combat on ps5, this game combat looks weird untill you start to see the pattern, and what devs actually had in mind.

I've just discovered the game and I doubt it's a repetitive game LOL.
This game is literally a mix of DOOM/GOD OF WAR it's really fluid in terms of animation.
And damn it's graphically beautiful.

fun fact all games are repetitive when you think about it

Thats like complaining that a driving games is just about holding down the gas button. Cmon bruh. Just be glad we are getting something thats not 69,99 at launch.

Yeah, I never got the complaints that action games were too "repetitive". Every single game has a gameplay cycle/loop that it repeats over and over. In shooters you point and shoot, in racing games you steer and drive, in action hack and slash you, combo and juggle enemies....etc. Its up to the individual to play and see if they like a games gameplay loop, but not enough has been shown to really get a good idea.

This game looks decent but as others have said after SW3 I'm coming in with a lot of caution. I liked other flying WH games like SW1, SW2, Hard Reset, but with the long awaited SW3 it seems like they tried to go the Doom Eternal route, which imo was too little too late.

Instead of building on the great foundation of SW2 that regressed back to a bare bones arena shooter with more focus on the cringe humor of SW2 (the humor was was only good in SW1 imo).

I feel this game will be average, especially given the HUGE games that are being released around this time, but I have not played it so I can't say one way or the other. I hope its good fun and is a decent length but we will see in a few weeks.

Some people don't know how to express it, every game is repetitive without exception - the trick is to hide that repetition or add elements that make it less visible/annoying for longer.

people can play anything imaginable lol the most samey shooters or sequels out there still have tons of players on it. I would certainly expect some difference out of an established series but this is a "new thing" and looks decent enough.

It depends if the story is good. A good story can overcome bad gameplay.

Literallly every single game ever created, is repetitive.
