guide for the old version, some info is outdated and needs to be updated

official guide by the dev
Current Meta is Cirnox2, suikax2, clownpiecex2 for the most part, i suggest using one of those combos for general play
Speed =basically topspeed like in most racing games
Boost= gain from boost and aceleration
Air =Topspeed and acerleration while in the air
Drift = how sharp you turn, in some circles considered to be a bad stat to have high as it kinda works against the drift meta
Mass= knockback while hitting opponents, basically worthless unless lan but can be used effectively on for example mistylake
Spell= spell gain
There are also some hidden stats and if you want to read about those(but that gets confusing really quick) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1950005101
Swapping for boost is like, always the best thing to do, as normal items are usually really situational and rarely help you win the race, except for example cradels(the red powerup) that allow you to take insane shortcuts
Drifting, well this may seem strange to a new player, but drifting in this game "keeps your aceleration" so to speak, its best to drift like basically all the time except you want to gain additional acceleration at the moment, like after hitting the wall or at the moment of hitting a booster, so we usually drift all the time and brake it a split second before hitting a booster and then drift again once we have maxed out from the boost gain
and also turning manually slows you down with most characters and drifting doesnt so theres also that
oh and another little known fact, you can control your altitude airborne with holding the stick up and down
