I think I'll need to try to decipher the spider's song from act 1.
It's my only remaining lead.
"Hear the song of my spirit. All life is the center of it's own world, all homes are traps in disguise. The number of perfection is four and sixty, so speaks the green one. As above so below, the first and final truth emblazoned on all things."
Thank you.
I wasn't sure if anybody had gotten this far yet, since the game's only been out for less than a week.
This immediately made me think of the meteorite that Fathom takes from you in part two, and the artifacts you can get from it. I've gotten a Pearl and the Living Labyrinth - but neither seems to have shown a number, and fiddling with them provides no further guidance.
This is definitely the most obtuse of the numbers so far.
This is literally the only thing left for us to do in the game. Golly, trying to figure this one out is frustrating.
After visiting it three times it says:
"The weaver upon the eye.
The whiteblack, mastered.
The longscale chieftain, inside-out.
They hold the keys.
Thanks be to the powers infinite for not granting them to me.
I am not special. I hold nothing. Thanks be."
Even so, I still haven't found the solution. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Bezoar you get from Tempest in Part Two, since its in-game description mentions some things that seem to line up with the clues. I haven't attempted to access the door with it in my inventory yet.
The other possibility that occurs to me is that it might have something to do with the schools of knowledge in Part Two, particularly the number-focused one. Kind of a lot of work to get back to that scene, though. Though, not much more than translating a whole message from Braille haha.
It's a random encounter.
I am about to open the dreaming door.
