Blue Blight problem
So got blue blight in the part 1 and then made it to the salamanders. I exhausted all of their dialogue options then challenged them for the treasure. There was never an option to cure the blue blight.

The blue blight essentially put me on a death loop since it's a delayed effect paired with the games autosave system. Is there a cure or is this just one of those haha get wrecked nub moments. I'm actually not too upset about the latter now that I know but if it's a bug or there's an alternative I'd also like to know.

If you're infected with blue blight, you can either go to Darktooth to be cured (though it will injure you), or you can hunt down a deathbite tailbeast and eat it raw to kill the infection. Darktooth explains both options if you visit him and ask about blue blight.

This isn't really a community that would say "haha get wrecked nub" ...

It is unfortunate to be caught in a death loop (if you don't have enough money/health to pay/survive Darktooth's cure), but there are a lot of clues that you're infected. Creepy blue fungus and glowing blue baretails are probably best handled with caution in the first place. Being infected also causes a message to appear in your status, and increasing number of blue motes to dance across your screen at all times.

I admit it's all still probably easier than it should be to miss the clues. When I saw all the dancing blue motes, I just thought the humidity was a little high that day. Also I think the warning message should appear during the new day feed, and not just in your status.

Incidentally, communicating with the blue fungus gives a real creepy message.

That's how I knew stuff was bad when I first came across it. That message was very creepy. So I killed it with fire.

My problem was that the only place I knew could offer deathbite tailbeasts, weren't having them trigger so I became a real... fun guy... get it? Eeeeh?

I'll see myself out...

Everyone already said thier bits and how it is cured, but the "tutorial" about diseases (when you find the dead deer) already explained that Darktooth is generally a very good person to ask for help, tho it has a price.

And yeah, metagame knowledge helps as well if you had it beforehand.

Saaaame, i knew the solution but the game wasnt having it and i failed terrible at catching anything else due to the affliction & the fact that i was in utterly pain fighting the salamanders. (and having no shinies because it was early in that life and i didnt bother yet)
