Stuck at "Thank You for playing Ferret Scoundrels" screen

When I launch the game now, all I get is an underwater scene with three options: Give Feedback, Where to Buy, and Exit. I've owned this pre-release game for a long time now. I have loaded it many times on many machines (one at a time) as I test out different video cards and such, for my own pleasure at home. The title screen alone is mesmerizing, and with MSI Afterburner running it tells a lot about my machine. Just got a 1440p monitor so of course, had to run it through the usual gauntlet. I was surprised to find Ferrets now essentially just kicks me out. How did I lose authorization? Does it think it's pirated now? Have you "taken down" the game prior to actual release? Is there some secret install limit I've long since passed (fresh Windows reinstalls constantly delete existing installations). I'm stumped.
