WELCOME TO RITUAL
HOW TO PLAY

When you run into a monster, you slash it automatically with your dagger. Same-level or weaker monsters die in one or two strikes.

Killing enemies increases your Power Level (that's the big number in the bottom console). Power Level number represents both your Melee Attack and Health.

Stronger monsters also display their Level number. Bumping into them means instant death.

Cast spells to damage, incapacitate or avoid stronger monsters.

Casting spells consumes mana, so it's a good idea to keep some in reserve.

When you kill enough enemies or complete an objective, portal opens and the level ends. Whether you win or lose, you always get EXP towards your next level up. You can replay levels at any time for an extra EXP boost, however grinding is not required!

LEVEL UP

Each level up grants you REVELATION with 4 new skills or spells. These rewards are randomly generated so... try your luck!

To customize your sorcerer, select SORCERY on the World Map screen.

Your equipped Skills and Spells are clustered into four categories:

  • DAGGER SKILLS - What happens when you strike an enemy with your dagger.
  • ACTIVE SPELLS - What kind of Spells you'll cast in battle.
  • PASSIVE ABILITIES - How your sorcerer reacts to the world.
  • SEALS OF RESURRECTION - Your spare lives.

Experiment with different loadouts and find the combination of Spells and Skills that suits your playstyle. There are trillions of possible combinations and many are quite OP.

HIGHER NUMBER WINS, LOWER NUMBER DIES

We hope you'll enjoy the game!

Hello.

First. Thanks for the game. I'm enjoing it a lot.

But I also found a few things that could be improved, to make the game even better.

1. In some maps there is a wall at the bottom that overlaps with the playable area. These walls block vision and in one or two games I caught a sudden case of being dead as strong monster where hiding there. And I couldn't see them.

2. I noticed this with the meteor spell. It may affect other spells too. Sometimes, when I cast the spell, the mana is deducted, but nothing else happens. So no boulder falling from the sky, and no enemy getting splatted like a bug. I think it happens more often when I am moving or facing away from the highest level enemy.

3. The maps are interesting and beatiful. There just are not enough. Moar please?
On a serious note, more maps and maybe a few different game mode (endless survival, only certain spells allowed...) would really make this game a lot more replayable. After I finished the story for the first time, and before I saw the "New Game +" Button, I was like "Awww, that was the last new map? But I want more things do to! I'm having so much fun and don't want it to be over yet.

4. Would it be possible to get a few transfer slots for the game+? There are an enormous amount of possible combinations, but some may not be viable from the start. So you have to build a viable build to progress, and then hope you get the right revelations for the build you want. A few extra transfer slots would be invaluable to get more specialised and comblex build going. Maybe upon going game+ you would just select four additional revelations to keep?

Ok, I think that is enough for the first post.

Once again: I really enjoy the game and hope it will get even better. :-)

Idk why i get constant 25 fps in game. My pc is a gaming pc which should easy give more than 75fps in this game. Still really good game though.
