I created a guide!
So I've wanted to do this for a while, but never got around to it. It's really basic right now, and since it's 1am I'll stop for the night. But I hope it proves useful for people:

That's an excellent guide Errapel!
Thank you

A few notes:
+ The game is technically not in "Early Access" and we'd like it to be considered a full experience as-is, but at the same time we are and will continue to evolve and build upon the game (hopefully for a long time), similar to other great long lived Inde and premium games like the ones from Paradox, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, etc
+ Combat Skill doesn't directly impact health but works indirectly by helping keep things like obesity at bay
+ Do you have any links with historical examples or gameplay suggestions on securing business deals or settling debts with a marriage?
+ One other thing your prestige and influence affect is the potential spouses that are available for marriage

Thank you once again for putting in the effort to make this!

Thank you for your kind words and feedback!

I'll update the guide at once with the new information.

As for marriage as part of business, I've got a few links and a few suggestions.

Some suggestions including not just immediate benefits to a marriage, but ongoing benefits from the connection:

- You've fallen into dept slavery but Pecunius has long had his eye on your daughter Flora. Pecunius offers to settle your debts and grant you a small sum to help you get back on your feet, if you consent to the marriage.

- You're hosting a feast to drum up support for your political campaign, but it's not going well. You fear this will taint your prospects until your son-in-law stands up and gives a rousing speech about your virtues. You think this may just swing the tide in your favour.

- You want to run for election but you lack the funds or prestige to stand a good chance at it. Enter Pompeius who offers to back your campaign if you agree to a marriage between your two houses.

- Your daughter's husband Felix has taken a shine to his nephew Titus, and has offered to sponsor his education!

-Your finances are falling, but your personal influence and dynastic prestige still hold some sway. A wealthy merchant, desiring a connection to your household has offered you his daughter in marriage to your son. She comes with a substantial dowry (if he is to be believed). (leaves the possibility of being cheated, or only getting a few ducks when you were hoping for a big pot of cash)

- Fortuna smiles on you, not only has your son found a suitable wife, but she brings with her her family's business contacts! (Maybe resulting in increased revenues for a while, or an opportunity to purchase some land or animals cheaply).

- Your old friend Secundus would like to go into business with you, and as luck would have it, you have an unmarried daughter of the right age. You arrange the marriage to cement your partnership, and Secundus fronts you a substantial sum to start the business.

- Your wife Servillia has warned you that her family's trade ships have been targeted by pirates. Her warning allows you to take precautions, you won't earn as much revenue for a few months, but you're in less danger of losing your ships.

- Your wife's family has helped secure you a lucrative contract to [insert profession's activity here]. If you succeed it will bring wealth and status to both your households, but it could have the opposite effect.

- Marrying your daughter to Primus was an excellent choice, his family's access to transport facilities has greatly increased your revenue from trade!

I'm really glad you're finding it helpful. If you need to search the guide for an event, usually Ctrl + F will bring up the search box (I'm using windows) so you can find the specific thing quickly.
