But you can try using the new steam feature "Remote Play Together", I have not had time to try it out but I have heard it works with Aeon's End.
nm, reread what it said, looks like it is sharing one player
"Steam Remote Play Together is built in to Steam and lets you share the screen & mouse."
Edit, just saw on the kickstarter it said this had pass and play
"Since Aeon's End is a cooperative game, there will be alternatives you can use to play multiplayer until we can add it to the game. You can have multiple players use the same computer (hotseat or pass & play), or use screen sharing via Discord, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc."
So how does coop work on steam and does each of the 3 other players need a copy of the game?
The developer response doesn't make sense either. Real multiplayer would promote sales, since everyone would need a copy. This is "normal" for any multiplayer game.
So in other words they want money, and not longevity of the game... :(
