How do you get Ingrid to disable the security bots?

She asked me to take her to the security room, and deactivate them, but when I bring her there, I don't have an option for getting her to shut them down. I've try taking control of her and clicking on the computer, but that doesn't work either. is there something I'm not getting here?

Do you mean the security HQ below the starting location?

There can be a few similar situations, unsure which one is your case but in general you should bring Ingrid where she asks you to (e.g. security office near computer, communal bedroom etc.) and then talk to her - new dialog options should appear based on location.

Note, though, probably she won't disable to bots immediately, there's more to be done. In security office she will search the database to find someone who could have had the security keycard you need.

Oh, I thought you had to take here to the 2nd floor server room, where I managed to roll back the robots to a previous update.

I found the correct security console by that other savager, I got to the part where we need to find the key card, but I can't locate it in the North bunkroom. I think I might have found it earlier. I didn't break the quest did I?

I think you should be fine. But in the Northern bunkroom, you actually need to find someone's screen slate and discuss this with Ingrid because the key is not there.

Actually, lately, quite a few people missed this, probably because the instructions are misleading.

I must have missed where she told me to go because I assumed it would pop up in the to do list. Now I'm just wandering around the station and there is no option for her to remind you where she wants you to take her.

If you talk to her, does she not mention the current status or something like that?

Not that I saw. I eventually figured it out anyway and its probably my fault for not paying more attention.
