Clipping through geometry using grappling hook

In using the grappling hook, I've gone through geometry a few times. Sometimes in the ship so I just stopped doing it, but when I was in a facility trying to use it to move around, I clipped through the wall a few times.

I've mostly been going to menu and rejoining, but one time I threw the Quantum Drive and it went through a wall into the "inside" of a building's geometry. I clipped through the geometry and was able to futz it back through the wall, quit, rejoin, and then collect it.
