Make the energy-gatling not suck
They are worse than useless, cause they take up a slot that could be used by anything else. Feels like a joke weapon, tbh

May as well lump the carranade into this. It's pretty lackluster, even in t3 form fully modded.

Yeah, it's pretty bad... but at least it doesn't overheat and it's really accurate, with no increase in spread while firing. The gatling can't even fire for more than a second without overheating and becoming too inaccurate to hit anything.

But yeah the carronade has pathetic dps.

I was a bit disappointed in the energy weapons except the beam caster, but we don't have any T2 or T3 variants of it.

Thus far the kinetic weapons seem significantly more superior, esp considering how readily ammo drops.

The beam caster is pretty amazing. Hardly even needs a T2 or T3 version. Extreme range, perfect accuracy, very good damage when buffed. Ends most problems extremely quickly.

The energy gatling is great, just change your spec. Don't put points in the top tree avoiding the rate ROF buff and the damage. Default is 2 damage, +1 from first gunner skill point and +2 from destroyer for a total of plus 4. there is an increase of non shielded damage after that. Cool the ship down and put a mk2 heat sink in. The reticle doesn't move and barely increases in temp you can spam it just like the minigun
