Freedom ship layout
I really like the idea. However a couple things

1.) Playing on your own you can't build B.R.A.I.N's. I think picking lone sentry layout still makes sense just allow me to move around existing ship modules.

2.) I think for balancing the freedom ship layout should have an additional animus crate. A lot of the existing ship layouts, like CQB frigate, have 4 ship systems plus ammo. Freedom just gives you 3 crates, and a gravity scoop is pretty much integral which really only leaves you with 2 options. I think that and/or more alloy makes sense.

Additionally, would love to try the new ship turret upgrades but without the ability to craft ship upgraders or higher tier animus crates it can be very spotty as to whether I get to test them out or not.

Hey there!

Thank you for your feedback. The Freedom Loadout is something experimental the team wanted to try out, so there's still room for change. I'll pass your feedback so it can be kept in mind!

Metem preserve you!

Yeah, I would love to be able to repack the crates to adjust a loadout to my liking. For the Lone Sentry, I'd put both BRAIN's on the Port side next to each other, to maximize firepower, and the Gravity Scoop next to them in the frontmost slot, to make it as close as possible to the fabricator and shelves. I'd put the manual Benediction on the Starboard side, to cover blindspots against enemies like Frostmorphs, and the power generator next to it for convenience. Shields go in the rear slots set for maximum coverage on the Port side, to make them as close as possible to the power cell charging docks.

Also, while you're at it, do you think the Frigate could have a few more shelves? It has 8 total module slots while the Destroyer has 12, but has less than half as many shelves. It would also be convenient to have a few shelves on the bridge specifically for Escort and Minefield datacards, so I don't have to gather them off the staircase every time I jump.

Honestly I love the idea of shelves on the bridge. We always throw the escorts and mine fields at the pilots head before running back down and they move all around the place.
