Being able to build ship system upgraders would be awesome and much needed.
To this day I was not able to find even one system upgrader in the game. Also being able to build AI-turrets would help the game alot, I think.
being able to build brains tho would be useful on freedom boats, when you go in with only 2 players, could use the brains until players join
The issue there is the game can feel quite swingy and arbitrary with difficulty.
Anywhere from
A:) We didn't roll a single rare or epic crate and have like 150 alloy and all our slots are full and can't make anything. So the game is just harder.
B:) We rolled tones of epics and rares and the game is super easy and we still have a surplus of alloy because we were given good crates freely from looting.
I think having rare and epic crates (or ship upgraders) cost a significant amount of alloy could work. Maybe add a secondary rarer resource to the game. Or maybe even have the rare and epic stuff cost biomass to create too.
