What mods are useeful on a B.R.A.I.N. turret?
I struggle with mods fabrication in general because it takes making them and hoping in the turret to check the effects and max values for them, but how do you gage what the brain turrets do?

I do lots of two player runs in the brain ship and wonder what they profit from.

I know rate of fire affects them ut I'm not sure if damage even does.

so which do anything on those? and how many do I need?

They are fully functional turrets so all mods work, although some (like increased zoom) will give no useful effect.

Personally I like to boost their damage to the point where they can reasonably deal with small fighters in a hit or two (depends on difficulty level) and then any spare slots I devote to fire rate. I have never had a heating issue so I think heat sinks can be skipped as well.

It is entirely reasonable to go purely on fire rate for good flexibility in efficiently switching targets. But keep in mind that they do seem to have accuracy as well so high fire rate will scatter their shots in prolonged firing like any other turret.

i go double damage mk2. Rate of fire just means you miss more

The BRAIN turret tends to go full-auto on mid-range, so with projectile spread we tend to go with accuracy || and now with the new content i'm seeing our 2-team will prolly start crafting the "requires 2 less energy" first tho.

With the new update: the power mod first (-2 power)
after that damage and attack rate are good options. With the last one lowering the accuracy. I am not sure if the MK3 Brain has 3 slots. If yes you can go for more damage, accuracy (if you have higher attack rate) or an attack rate mod (better only one).
Also some of the rare mods you can find are good. F.e. the one that give Brains higher range.

best i have found (new update) is still damage mk2 (if you find) a ship upgrade module. Upgrade the brain turret and add double damage. The upgrade i have observed so far is a increase in fire rate this one is obvious.

How ever i have noticed slight damage and accuracy increase (don't know for sure).
