Void Crew

Void Crew

Any other games like this? No space particulary but working together.
Title

We enjoyed this game very much with the 6 player and it kinda seems to be a first of its kind, rouge-lite 6 player. I dont think theres anything else like it on the market but making sure I'm not missing any other games.
I have Jump Ship and Star Crew on watch but those are both EA and not out yet.

Closest one I can find is Barotramua but thats a bit deeper and more hardcore. My friends won't play it unfortunately.

Thanks

There just aren't many games in the genre.

I consider all the games you mentioned, and Void Crew to be "Co-op Vehicle management" games. I don't know about Star Crew, but they also all have roguelike element (which I love and prefer).

But anyway this genre revolves around a group of people focusing on not letting the vehicle die, instead of worrying about yourself dieing.

Look up "Volcanoids" I think this one also counts in this genre.

And I do think I've seen other up and coming games, but off hand I can't name them.

Hopefully more are coming, this is one of my top genres.

Hi #1FURRYDADDYALPHAWOLF :D

Hmm.. So yeah, Barotrauma is as you say a similar game and a game we have drawn inspiration from in certain areas.
I think the closest game that comes to mind is Deep Rock Galactic, another game we have been inspired by and have found incredibly fun.
But it is 4 players and also not a roguelite per se.. But it hits with its strong procedural generation and excellent team dynamics.

Hope this sparks a bit of motivation. Otherwise, there might be others to jump in with great suggestions.

Thank you for reaching out, much appreciated :)

The first two on my mind are Pulsar: Lost Colony and Sea of Thieves.

Carrier commander 2, not sure if it can do 6 player thought.
Thank you all for the response. We had a great time playing the game and I hope there will be a Void Crew 2 with more rougelite/progression deeper system or customizing the ship more. We do not like Sea of Thieves as there is no progression in there, its just cosmetics. Volcanoids is very cool but survival crafting game. DRG we have beaten already but not even close in game play style to Void Crew. Thank you for the Pulsar: Lost Colony recommendation. I will be picking it up to test it out. Carrier I am not sure it will work as its a bit too different from the rest.

It really seems that Void Crew is actually a first of its kind after scouring steam for similar games, Barotramua is the only one I can even think in the similar realm. Rougelite + Co-Op gameplay with more than 4 players. After doing research for a couple days and checking all the suggestions, it seems that Void Crew should get a really big round of applause for creating something actually first of its kind. There are no other games in this space like it right now.

Thank you #1FURRYDADDYALPHAWOLF.

It's nice to hear you have enjoyed Void Crew so much and also I guess we here at Hutlihut Games are pleased to hear we have found a great footing for us to stand on, since there aren't any directly correlated titles by the looks of it.

I hope you find something that will scratch that itch :D
In the mean time we can all dream of a Void Crew 2 ;) That would be a blast for sure
In case you're still looking for suggestions, this game's gameplay most reminds me of Guns of Icarus Online.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/209080/Guns_of_Icarus_Online/

It's steampunk rather than space sci-fi, but you join a co-op team to run an airship. One player pilots while the others shoot the guns and run around repairing damaged components. There are roles and (I think?) level-based progression. It's been a while since I played it, but I believe you even fight against other teams.

I do own Guns of Icarus, I will replay to see if it has PVE mode. We are all shying away from PVP lately as its just getting worse these days. Thank you very much!

Haven't tried this title myself.
Looks great !

Thanks for chipping in :D
Pulsar is a very good game if you have the friends for it. I really wish this game had the same depth Pulsar does, it would probably be the best damn game I'd ever played if so. Pulsar is kinda crusty but detailed with a lot of content, this game is polished but kinda lacking in content and detail.

Did anyone say jump space, formerly known as jump ship yet?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1757300/Jump_Space/

its due to release into EA soon. looks loads better then void crew.

void crews random spawn ins just because bug me a lot. The missions are really repetitive. The game needs a story mode.

Once Human
Sea Of Thieves
Volcanoids
Space Engineers
Borderlands 2
Empyrion Galactic Survival
Hellgate London
Halo
Wastelands 3
Deep Rock Galactic

..and many more, just a few Google serach clicks away
Sorry buddy but the ones you listed are nothing like Void Ship at all. That is not a few google search clicks away.
Once Human - Crafter, SoT - no meta progression, not rougelite. Space Engineer - open world, not rougelite...I could go on and on with your list. Thanks for the Pulsar recommendation though guys, that one was the closest to this gameplay. GoI was okay as well but not rougelite and more PvP aspect. So far the closest out of all these mentions are Barotramua and Pulsar (no rougelite aspect) for team work and dedicated roles.
Check out Wildgate,
