All my power went away.
I've only done like 4 missions solo and I'm consistently getting frustrated at the fact that this game doesn't tell you how anything works.

I don't even remember what the mission type was, but I had to destroy three things, and reinforcements come when you destroy them. My power went down by 1 at the start due to "Electrical Power Anomaly" I believe, but by the time I had destroyed the second objective it went all the way down to -5 and I could no longer power a single thing on my ship. No messages or icons on screen to indicate what was wrong or how to fix it. So I just ran around turning things off and on for trial and error until I blew up after 7 minutes.

Any idea what I was doing wrong?

Chances are there was an Electromorph ship in the system targeting you and draining your power.

Sounds like an Electromorph, but, if you are in the pilot seat and in third person, you would very easily spot that. Are you playing only in first person?

I'm assuming that's gotta be it. I've been using the 3rd person camera most of the time while piloting but I don't remember the exact order of events. I think I got up as soon as something turned off/overloaded so maybe I didn't see it? I dunno, I'm definitely not the best gamer in the world.
If those show up am I just supposed to kill them before all my circuit breakers flip or whatever?

Best to kill them before they reach you, because they WILL attempt to stay in your turrets blind spot. Alternatively, you just have to go third person, see where the beam of purple is coming from and there's your target to shoot at.

Alright. There's still too many red triangles floating around for me to keep track of at this point while I'm still trying to figure out where everything is and how everything works. :B Thank you!

The good thing about any of the Morphs is that they usually fly very close to you before they start attacking. If you have good situational awareness, you should always be able to spot it coming towards you.

A lil tip, spend some skill points into piloting, particularly some of the early ones that increase your overall speed and improve manuverability as that will make it significantly easier to deal with an Electromorph once it starts zapping you. Without those, you will be too slow and it's going to almost be impossible to deal with.

Oh yeah I've started upgrading the pilot tree right away. It's crazy how much they give you in terms of bonuses.

They get a lot easier to spot once you know what to look for.

All of the morphs have the same rotating tri-wing shape with bright lights. It's just that their colours are different.
