The AI Assets
In previous reviews of the game criticizing its use of ai art and voices, the developers ensured they'd be replaced before release stating that they were placeholders. with 1.0 looming on the horizon and with no mention of these replacements, I'm a little concerned, especially when I tried asking the developers on the 1.0 post and got ignored while they responded to others.
I really hope the AI assets get replaced before release. I like the game and it definitely doesn't feel like a cheap cashgrab or a lazy project like pretty much every other game that uses AI, but I'd still greatly prefer no AI in a finished product.

whats so bad about afew AI assets?
the voices fit to the game's story, and the art looks great.
id understand if the AI voices didnt fit to the game's style or something, bit it fits perfectly.
this isnt some asset flip cash grab, this is a proper original game with a handful of AI parts because of one reason or another,

id rather they keep the AI parts as they are and focus their develepment time and funds fixing bugs and adding content

A lot of people are skeptical or outright against games that include AI-generated assets, and it's not just about personal preference. AI art and voices come with ethical concerns. The issue is that AI models are trained on massive datasets of art and voice work without explicit permission from the original creators. In essence, it can feel like these models “borrow” from countless artists and voice actors without acknowledging their contributions, or compensating them.

Beyond that, there’s the feeling that AI-generated content can undermine the artistry and human touch that make games unique. Even if the AI assets look or sound fine, they may lack the subtle nuances that a real artist or actor would bring, leaving parts of the game feeling less authentic or personal. For a lot of people, this taints the experience, even in an otherwise well-crafted game.

Many players would prefer developers to focus on quality content that respects creative work, rather than risk cutting corners with AI. If anything, it’s about seeing the game as a labor of love from actual humans rather than generated fragments.

Every human is trained on massive datasets of every expirience they've had....
and the same way we think of things, then remember they already exist and change them
the AI USER will also notice that what the AI just made is too similar to something that already exists, they will change the input, or edit it manualy.

AI is a tool, if used properly it can make masterpieces,
in the same way if used inporperly it can make trash,
and if used lazily it can make copies.

Yeah, I can't really say I care about the use of AI stuff as long as its disclosed. I'll judge the quality of the product the same either way.
