What type of game is this?
First of all, wow. I am impressed. This looks amazing!

I wonder what type of game this is exactly. Couple people say it is like Deep Rock Galactic with BaroTrauma.

-Do I and my team sellect missions at the start? With 1 or 2 (Or more) Objectives?
-Does the game play like a team having to fight, Uphold & repair systems, explore etc?
-Are turrets on the ship the only way of combat? Or are there fire arms as well?
-Can I customize my character and ship?
-Perks?
-Classes?

You have a hub like deep rock.

You have to play as a team period its like running a boat in sea of thieves or a multi crew ship in star citizen.

You need gunners and guys repairing and a pilot and you also collect salvage and use a fabricator to make new turrets or major repair kits for the ship ect ect.

You can build 4 or 5 turrets in specific locations on the ship.

There are small spots to explore or do a small puzzle to collect loot.

There is power management.

Turrets are the only way of combat. There are zero handheld weapons.

Everything you get for your character is cosmetics and color packs.

There is a a perk / class system but its very basic atm its like Pilot skill tree, gunner skill tree, grease monkey, salvager

Thanks for the quick reply! That seems to be good for what the game has to offer in Early Acces. Any bugs/glitches you can recall by chance?

I'd say its a mix of Helldivers and sea of thieves with some barotraumaish coordination.

You select the mission in a hub. select loadout and then proceed.

Gameplay and progressions revolves objectives ala helldivers: Sometimes its raiding a storage locker for data shards (quatum shards) and trying to get in and out before big ships comes in and wipes the floor with you, sometimes its starting an ambush on target you have to assassinate, sometimes its just pure destroy multiple large targets, and other times in defending escaping ships, or defending a facility, repairing its systems while you fend off enemies with your crew to download data all the while trying to get the mission done before the big bad shows up.

Objectives are quick within 15 minute things and if you dally too long after being detected you get bound to be wiped out if you do not jump out, some enemies summon more enemies and things can quickly escalate ala helldivers if you do not do target prioritization or have a pilot that manages ranges.

AS you level you get access to printing more arsenal and unlock new starting load-outs for the ship which is customization by the host. Players are customization by stuff you unlock over time, and the rewards are all cosmetic.

Anything you get in the mission that is not an unlock is discarded after completion and converted to exp if made into alloys. You always start with ship matching a loadout you select and unlock over time.

Some missions chain multiple objectives together, and most missions seem to always have an extra explorables that rewards with more resources and gear that may ease the mission, if you are willing to risk more reinforcements appearing over your main objectives.

Turrets are the only way to combat. When EVAing you are helpless, and your team mates must defend you as you do your tasks or avoid blowing you out the air lock / blowing all the air out of the ship. Who ever is Piloting needs to keep in minds of the turret angle of fire and not toast the folks outside the ship with the engines, while who ever is in the engine room keep the ship manuverable and tip top shape while checking on the breakers and shouting at folks to turn off ♥♥♥♥ they aint using and eventually "She canna take any more, Cap'n! ". There is also the cargo scoop, making sure the shields running, among other power managements so engineering is quite busy.

You get skills point to spend on your perks that can be refunded at no cost at any time. There are no "classes" other than the perks that give you a bonus at a task, but again can be respeced any time outside of missions.

Can you cap out all the skills eventually, or is there only enough for 1 tree and you just have to respec constantly?

You can cap them all but you can only have one tree selected and active at a time.
