Co op Trouble

Already having issues joining each other in Co Op - It says connection lost to the void.. not a good start for a co-op 'forced' game.. anything to do?

Sorry to hear this is happening to you. Is this still happening? Is it consistent for any game you try to join?

We swapped hosts and it worked, though I had a permanent fixture of a playername/party hud with someone named something like "Banana" and I think that messed up my ability to voice chat and type, unless typing is having it's own set of issues!

It seems a failed connection attempt generates a 'ghost' party member with that Banana name and it wont go away until I restart the game. I got a bit of gameplay with my buddy though after the host swap, pretty fun game - shields might need a bit of a buff though, they don't seem to do any damage mitigation from what I saw.

Thanks for the information! It might be related to a known issue where players invited by a guest that has joined the game via matchmaking can have trouble connecting to said game. I'll note down the thing with the ghost party member and I'll keep an eye for more reports.

When match making with friends I have also seen a "banana_pants" player appear in either my party or my friends' parties. It happened to me once, but it has happened with the others as well. Very strange.

I have also seen this weird occurrence. There was a "banana pants" type name superseded over a team member's name earlier today. I was also unfortunately stuck in my sarcophagus view while everyone else saw my toon moving around the ship when I hit the move keys (had to quite game and reset).

we also were having issues tonight, our four players would be in a lobby, most would get DC'ed when the mission started and whoever was left over was frozen at the start with a random shipmate named banana pants this happened 4 times in a row before we stopped trying

Friend and I will load in, shortly after the ship loads and before I leave the Sarcograph it will reload the Sarcograph stat screen and then I will have a Banana_Pants squad member and one of us will be in their own ship.

i can confirm the banana_pants playername issue , what was even weirder was that noone was on the server but the left side playernames showed 5 people named banana_pants , 2 were given to 2 players that joined the hub and then disconnected and the other 3 were the guys i was in a mission with but then left after it was over , the names changed when we got back to lobby from a mission , not sure if them disconnecting was the issue or something else

Hey, out of interest - incase it matches my own experience, was the chat and voice chat completely nullified once banana pants made an appearance?

I found I could no longer send messages (I could type but nothing would 'send) and push to talk stopped also.

Just started having this problem again today. Would try and join a friend and get to the first jump play for about 5-10 min got disconnected. Both of us restarted the game and we switched host and had I had another disconnect before we even started the ship q.q (talk about a tease). Any solutions would be awesome. Love this game so far :D
