PSA: hints and bug workaround without spoilers

This is 100% meant to be a game you puzzle out, so no need to ruin that. But there's a game-breaking bug that you don't have to hit your head against, with some gentle hints below.

The first (?) half (?) of the game takes place in the outdoors as the crow. How to progress is obviously meant to be a bit obtuse, but yes there's a goal and you'll be able to tell you are making progress, although it may not be clear why. Only read on if you've given the game an hour of your time and are still struggling...


You'll need to send the birds on their way (5) times in the above ground area, and once from the underground region. Then if you go where all the crows are congregating and land on the "vane" you will unlock the next chapter. BUT for some people (myself included) there's a bug that prevents that unlocking from happening, even after all the crows have been gathered. The good news is that your progress has been saved and if you quit the game and reload it everything will then work right after you land on the structure. You'll know for sure you succeeded because a little 20-second movie/animation will be unlocked.
