[FIXED] Game breaking bug. Need way to reset game. (Reinstall doesn't work)
[Fix at Bottom]
Hi so I ran into a bug on the first indoor gold ball puzzle when I saved and reloaded the game the birds I had saved disappeared meaning I could not weight down the lever to raise the track to solve the puzzle.

I love this game and want to finish it, but I'm struggling to reset the game even to the beginning.

I tried deleting the data in AppData\LocalLow\Friend_Foe\Vane. I tried reinstalling the game and deleting the AppData files and still it returns me to this puzzle without the birds.

Help would be very appreciated :)

[Fix] How to full reset the game:
How to delete steam cloud save files, check this site: https://appuals.com/how-to-delete-steam-cloud-saves/
1. Right click Vane in your steam library and select Properties
2. Go to the UPDATES tab and under Steam Cloud uncheck the "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Vane"
3. Now the next files that we delete you should prob make a backup of in case.
4. Delete all files in AppData\LocalLow\Friend_Foe\Vane
5. Delete files in Steam\userdata\[UserId]\1063310
6. Now Restart the game and it will start from the beginning as well as fill in all the local saves as the beginning.
7. Quit the game
8. Now redo steps 1 and 2 but check the box this time
9. Start the game and when a promp comes up for Cloud Sync Conflict choose the LOCAL FILES
10. Enjoy

GREAT! I was looking for a reset method too. I want to record a gameplay video from the begining

Or you can just delete the save file in the local folder for the game, then just go offline and start the game again then quit.
When you restart the internet and restart the game, Steam will tell you there's a conflict and you just pick the local files.

Much easier.

for me quitting and reloading the game (no nuking the save files) allowed me to bypass some of the bugs. Worth trying. Even if you can't see the freed birds the game may "know" they are there.

Shame they didn't test the game a bit better tho.
