Coop seperation distance

Has any one found a way or created a mod to increase the seperation distance between the 2 players? I hate that Kevin snaps back to Ben when they get too far from each other.

To play co-op you need to start the game as a single player, and find the "RustBucket" (Grandpa's van), here you will see some characters outside the van, Gwen, Grandpa, and Kevin, you need to approach Kevin and he will offer his help, if you accept, then the co-op option will show.
