in the opera level, tranquilizing the civillian in the "Diva's Room" will get you permanently stuck untill someone shoots you

yeah Ive seen this happen with L shape tables/office rooms twice to my crew
if you have extra lives to spare with a good team you can hold R to respawn

Seems like this happens when the civie you're targeting is already stuck on the geography.

I also got stuck on Cicero while crouching towards a wall (was waiting for the right moment to get around a corner)

Yeah, check first to see if the enemy is stationary, even after aggro. If they don't follow you, they are stuck, and YOU will get stuck if you clean em.

Last night I was playing the Opera with my friends. We cleaned out the joint and I grabbed the final letter off the actor as Cicero. On the way out, I killed a guard I didn't realize was stuck in place, so I got stuck.

To make matters worse, the option to despawn myself was for some reason, disabled. The other players tried to lure guards to my position so they could finish me off, but I couldn't get their attention. Ultimately, we had to quit out of the mission with nothing to show for our efforts.

It happened to me in the Opera mission. There is a lvl 1 guard on the chairs looking at the stage. If you sleep him, you teleport to just above a chair and get stuck. The guard is also stuck there, btw. You can aggro him and he'll just stand there.

You can always hold Select to respawn.

That's the one that got me! But I couldn't respawn, maybe my group ran out of lives.

It's possible you ran out of lives. If not that, I am curious to know if maybe you cannot respawn during the frantic end-game escape...
