Julius and Bromeo completion soft lock

Hi, i started playing inkbound some time ago, and there was the quest call julius and bromeo that was impossible to complete because it required an augment that wasn"t there anymore. Now they have changed it, and i just should just have to talk to the gatekeeper to turn it in but (SPOILER) i was also at the point in my story when the gatekeeper go to the training ground, and now he just refuses to talk to me about the quest, so i still can't turn it in. Does anyone have a solution for this very specific problem please?
