I've played the game, I've seen every boss, every zone, every character - except 1. Yes, there are a number of items to unlock - but, that's a different discussion altogether (and is fine). I'm level 42 at the moment, and working on more.
How long is a player supposed to play the game before being allowed to see everything?
Items are a bit of a wash topic because they add that 'one more run', 'one more level' reward structure, and keep things interesting; plus, while they can change builds, you're not able to rely on them - versus the fundamental core gameplay differences of the characters, which completely shift how you play a run from the get-go. You can't always rely on finding particular items, but you can rely on your character and their abilities.
Ignore Purple Sauce, they're trolling. The Star Captain and Derelict Starship are bugged right now. You'll never unlock them.
They should have unlocked shortly into the game, after unlocking the Aspect Apparatus and the character reshaper. You're well past that. Join the legion of us, patiently waiting for a hotfix.
It's fine the way it is because the grind is meaningful while not taking forever to do. It only takes somewhere around 10-12 hours, maybe 15 if you are just going slow to unlock all the characters. It's not even a good character FYI, it's a support.
Ah, thanks - had no idea that was actually the case.
Unfortunate, but at least I know instead of grinding my head against the wall trying to figure out when I'm supposed to actually be able to unlock it. <3
Uh, mine got unbugged and I didn't hit that quest line until around level 50-60. You claim I'm a troll when I'm not. Ever tried not being an a**?
