Playing solo I think it's too hard as you have less chances to counter build
You might be able to get 10k of the skill that consumes burn stacks for damage.
I've also beat two run but i wasnt hitting anywhere near that damage,i was just using evasion and healing to not die.
Different mob groups need different strategies, positioning and priorization.
Build synergies are also super important.
You can also unlock more stuff that might fit your strategies by doing quests.
For me, the difficulty levels are spot on, though weaver and the rogue clasd are easy mode anyway 😅
So buckle up and expect nothing really to change because they will never nail the balance beween solo and coop runs for this one.
All we can hope for is making solo runs possible with more than one build.
I jist Hit silver Rank.. (Player all the time solo)
Iblost my First 3 Runs, since a bit changed from Beta.
But i did Not have really big Problems. Unlocked all Chats and Beat it with all once...
Big Nuke / 1 hitting or Tank top death or massive dots all worked fine. The Most Trouble i Had with the Defender since i only stacked Spikes damage and was a bit mehhh.
I Personal Hope silber and the Text Rank gonna inceease the difficulty and run Duration
Definitely does NOT require a "meta" build to win a run. I have mostly won and have been picking new things to start and then synergize with whatever I choose. Not choosing what I know works each time so I can experiment more. The only type of builds that have real issue would be if the upgrade RNG stuck you with purely defensive options all the way. But that would/should be incredibly rare to happen.
I have beaten ranked mode a few times now.
I go in again. 1st or 2nd fight: fight 6-8 mobs with arrows, too much hp too kill in one turn. No shield available that early. What should i do?
JUST TAKE THE 40 DAMAGE AND DEAL WITH IT.
Great balance guys.
Saying a "meta" is just do damage is hilarious.. On my like 3rd run without knowing anything about the game I completed it as a weaver. I didn't know anything about a "meta" build or anything. I just played making decisions that seemed good at the time. You say a "delayed damage build" means you're SOL but that's basically everything weaver is. It's a lot of set up then a lot of damage.
As for focusing on defense, that's also completely possible especially considering one of the aspects is literally made for it. You can get plenty of items that will do thorns damage to enemies (meaning they get hit because they hit you). You can then just stack shield and get heals if needed.
Like I said, my 3rd run I beat all the bosses and I already see many ways you could build a character and all I've played is Weaver.
I feel like it takes a lot from player agency when you know you flat out just cannot avoid that attack unless you kill it. I do like enemies having that unavoidable attack and making you prioritize them, but I feel it needs to be less prevalent than what it is now. Like I'd still enjoy having enemies attack me in unavoidable ways so I have to focus them.
They could also add in more things like stuns or if you do X damage to an enemy it'll interrupt their attack based on what attack it is.
Really not that hard when you streamline a build to its strengths, use pots and prioritizes the right enemies first....
