No fish and bug books in museum shop

Hi! Ive been trying everything imaginable to get these books available in the museum shop with little to no info on the requirements to get these books. And nearly everything i read contradicts the last thing i read! Some say i need 50% of my museum collection complete while others say 60%. Some say i need the museum guy at high friendship while others say its not required. I have over 60% of the collection complete and quite a few hearts. Can someone give me a straight answer? Cuz ive been all over and i cant solve this riddle and im starting to suspect its a glitch that needs to be patched. I would really appreciate some help.

I recall it's 50% and that includes critters. The museum only shows bugs and fish numbers. So you'll have to check your pedia, not the museum banners.

it's still around 45 fish/bugs
the critters help a bit but it's hard to calibrate right
just catch everything you can check if you already delivered it to the museum or just go & try to do it
overall it is a bit easier now than it was before, that's my impression
