John doesn't want to work anymore

From like 3 days in a row John doesn't showing up in the shop.
Because of this I can't sell any, and buy basic items.
I mean I can enter the shop, but I can't do anything because it says "shop closed" and this lazy bastard John is walking around like he doesn't have his job to do.
Anyone had similar situation?

You probably have a pathing issue that is preventing npcs from moving properly.

I've had a problem with John not going into his shop a couple of times, but I have found that as long as it is within his working hours, he still has the "sell items" option (even if he is standing out in the middle of woop woop). I haven't tried to buy anything from the shop, so I don't know if that works as well, but at least selling has been ok.

Going further on it, my personal interaction with this issue had been with Rayne. It seems if there is a large change in terrain, or a body of water in between their shop and themselves, they won't be able to enter, no matter the time. My issue was the water, which was solved by building a bridge so they wouldn't be stuck on the other side.

i moved John's Shop to plaster the ground beneath. i moved it temporarily from one side of the road to the other, next to the museum. when i moved it back John mixed up the museum with his shop & got stuck in the museum's entrance. i reloaded the day since it was early in the morning & he found his shop again.
but i don't want to murder John nor any of the NPCs, i love them all dearly
