attacks
Ok, I am not playing because I like combat. I like the building of the village without the town builder economy aspects. love the terraforming and decorating, but I also love the exploration. I think the attacks by mobs have been turned up, you can barely go anyplace without being mobbed over and over, or run into mobs killing each other. I tried to go get some flowers to plant in my town yesterday, came back without after many, many fights with bushdevils and that new Lizard dude. I didn't have fun. If you are going to have that many mobs, maybe it's time for a peaceful mode? The game is becoming unplayable for me.

I don't see them any more aggressive then they were. Lizzard dude :D Only attacks if you attack, I have one walking around my town. For bush devils, they sleep during the day, so go there during the day time, and just don't walk into or get really close to them. Mary Wu's sleep at night, so that would be the best time to go to the tropics.

Or you could mark where they are located on the map, so you can go around those locations. Just watch where you step.

Idea for flowers specifically. If you have just one of a type of flower, put it in a planter box with other empty planter boxes connected to it. The flower will spread and multiply after a bit of time.

the only mobs i am seeing are crocos, my absolute nemesis in Dinkum :lunar2019grinningpig:
every other creature is manageable, even Bush Devils

if you don't want to be attacked don't go near & RUN if you hear the danger music, no need to fight at all actually, you just have to know how to run :lunar2019grinningpig:

also consider to stuff yourself with food buffs, it helps

Maybe I just had a really bad day. I was hunting for bottlebrush. I did come across the new, red desert roses, that was a nice surprise. I really love the game overall, I am spending tons of time in it. But it isn't fun when one is scared to venture out. I make a ton of money just spending 5 minutes every morning milking and shearing and collecting honey, have 3 mil in the bank and plenty of spending money on me. I do cook or brew buffs. I finally got the iron spear, I haven't gone into the mines yet, I wanted to be as well equipped as possible first. Is there anything I need to know before venturing in? That place scares me, I watched some on youtube.

It's all good. I know there are quite a few people who don't care for the combat side of the game.

For the mines, some suggestions would be:

1. Before going in eat a buff food to raise your max health/energy. Cooked croc meat works well if you have any.

2. Bring a extra spear and pick axe with you. You don't want your tools to break and end your run early. Also make and bring plenty of torches, you can use them for light, and place them down for mining or fighting. You can also use them to create a path to follow to get back to the elevator.

3. John sells a "tourch" it is more of a flashlight, that you can use to stun a enemy once each while down there. This can give you the upper hand in battle, or help you run away.

4. Bring plenty of food for health/stamina

5. Bring any keys you might have to open the treasure rooms. They are grey on the map, and look like a bomb without the fuse attached. Like round with a little square at the top. Square part is where the doors are. You need 2 keys per room.

6. Click on the pickaxe symbol down there, so you can easily find your way back to the elevator without getting to lost, if you don't use torches.

7. Keep your eyes open for rubies. They look like rocks with a little red jagged gem sticking out of the top. You can mine it, then carry it back to the elevator and toss it on the elevator floor.

8. The mine is one trip, so make sure you have everything you need before going down.

9. Bats, it is useful to jump while hitting then.

10. You do not have to fight everything down there. It is usually best to keep moving. Things will only chase you for a short while. You only really need to fight if they are in a area you want to mine, or by treasure doors.

Also, make sure you are out before it turns "late"
