Bank interest kinda low

Does the interest seem low to anyone else?

Right now it's at 0.071% per day. I saved up 1M to slap in there expecting at least 1% but with that rate I'm getting a whooping 710 per day.

Took me a while to save up, before anyone tells me the hundred ways of hardcore money making I'm playing casually at my own pace. I wanted to make some passive income while I terraform my part of the island.

So 1M in the bank over an ingame year would only get a little over 85k. Couple fishing trips could get that. I guess my point is there is no point in having interest at that point, no incentive to even put it in the bank other than the achievements.

Thinking about it 1% would maybe be too high. But maybe like 0.25%.

The bank is a safe place to store money because you lose money if you pass out (like 10% of what's on you), even if it's in one your inventory spots. So your alternative is to store it in a cabinet or box, or the bank. The bank earns interest where a storage box does not.

If interest is high, you can live on the interest only. It sounds boring to me.

Really, Bank interest in real life is even lower than that at most places now.
