possible underwater plant spawns
plants/grass under the water and on the surface are pretty much everywhere except in the rivers that players make themselves so I'm curious if it will ever be added that plants to a certain extent can/will spawn in player made rivers as long as they connect to a river that already contains underwater grass and the like and meet the proper depth for them to grow. I know this is a very small detail and will most likely never come to be but I'm asking anyway cause there is no harm in asking.

They do, it just takes a long time. I have made ponds which had those lilypad plants you see in the billabongs spawn in them. You can also plant flowers and bushes in the water - I think only 2 tiles deep though. I have wheat and sugar plants at the edges of ponds as reeds - you still need to water them every day until they are grown (or wait until you've had enough rainy days!) as they don't seem to recognise their feet being in water as having been watered. They will last forever as they don't die at the end of the season as other crops do.
Really? I have a man made river flowing though my village that is connected to a main river and I've not noticed anything growing in it yet, just the occasional fish swimming along it. I wonder how long it takes?

That's really weird, each time I've tried to get mangroves (by placing the mud in shallow or along the edges of water) the first few trees pop-up within 2 to 4 days.
