Meteor shower suggestion
Good morning/afternoon/evening,

So, I just spent 30+ minutes combing my island from the air to try and find the meteor. It likely fell while I was in the deep mine until 11:43 PM, so no visual clue for me, and since I play with the sound off, no sound clue either for when it fell. But since I was looking for it from above, at night, surely it popped out and was visible, right ? Well ...

I uped the render distance to the max settint of 8, flew accross my island, checked the sand banks off the coast, covered every single subdivision of my island, I was thourough and ... I didn't find it.

I went at it methodically, I insist on that point. So either there's the very unlikely case where it didn't spawn ... or it does not mesh well with longer render distance and the glow disappear from a certain distance (like with fireflies), which would mean I would have to spend even more time combing my island. I already spent 30+ minutes and came back empty handed, that doesn't give me much interest in interacting with the mechanic further.

I'm not asking for a full on map marker or anything, but a clue, something to point you in the right direction, especially if you missed the landing due to being busy inside.

And/or make it visible from longer render distances.

Agreed.

Also similar situation where I was coming back up from the mine and had zero clue where it could've been.

Made me question if it even spawns at all if don't see the slow meteor.

Feature needs work to be fun, otherwise player will scour the entire map fruitless and leave the game frustrated.

If you go early to the mine and come back late, chicken and others animal will not have touched their food, I believe the meteorite just doesn't spawn. Check the weather before going to the mine next time :/ (or alt-f4 and forfeit your day ?)
