Progression Decoration Blueprint Unlocks
I'm only 10 hours in to the game and so far have hardly unlocked any blueprints. As i understand it the blueprints are random unlocks based on random NPC visits and you doing tasks for them or finding them.

I would prefer a more linear unlock option, if i want to put a picket fence around my farm it could take 5 hours or 50 hours to find it randomly which is quite frustrating for a cozy building game.

Some people might like the current method so possible offer it as an option on new saves only so the user can decide.

As for how to implement it I would much rather Fletch could provide blueprints for things like paths, fences, etc at a cost of dink so i still have to unlock them through playing all the content but it's at my pace and my choice.

If you want access to all items in game it is possible to do in 'creative mode' no hours of play needed.

But personally I thought the picket fence was with all other fences under landscaping licence. I see that it isn't.

There is something to say about a balance of reward for time played. Wanting something gives reason to play for the unlock.

Franklyn sells blueprints daily - could focus on bringing that character into town first.

Second level mines offer blueprint rewards in the loot chests

and Jimmy sells blueprints

So it isn't just doing tasks that unlock recipes

I have played a few new islands now and it truly is random what will unlock first each time.

i don't think linear unlocks is a good idea for Dinkum, but the randomness to obtain blueprints is quite high atm.

the char i am playing currently most is a Pearl Diver, there are afaik only two options to use pearls, one of which is the Pearl Path. i looked as often i could at Franklyn's for the blueprint to that Pearl Path, the repeated options with him is extremely high, i'd say every second blueprint is one i already own, i also do very often NPC quests, here too, at least half of which are rewarded only with Dinks, the remaining 2/3 with things & only the rest of it are blueprints. the Pearl Diver waited for over 2 years now for the Pearl Path to appear, i started even to buy blueprints from Jimmy but it doesn't really rain often. i am not intending to send the Pearl Diver to the mines at all, so that option is out of question. long story short, i lost my patience & started to cheat blueprints, one cheated blueprint on a day where i don't get it & after only 3 days the Pearl Path blueprint was there.

what i would rather prefer is a shop where i can at a very high price, maybe a million or even 2M get a very specific blueprint, that would be very helpful, cause my Fisherman i played long before the Spring update has quite a lot of blueprints but not the Sailboat blueprint & has similar problems with it as the Pearl Diver, while that Sailboat blueprint was the very first my Chicken Farmer got from John even before John moved in, which is quite frustrating cause i'm pretty positive the Chicken Farmer won't even ever use it. so tons of useless blueprints, but the waiting time for a specific useful one ist often very long.
