Dinkum

Oh NO ... where did my watch go?
I logged on yesterday to find my beloved silver watch had disappeared! When my recycle bin vanished a while back, I decided I could live with that, but the loss of extra time in a Dinkum day is a big deal for me. Just one more thing. The loss of peaceful play was on purpose tho. :( Life is hard in the outback. I'm not alone.

I found it on a small remote island one day as I searched for the big red bag that an NPC reported had fallen from the sky, I thought the watch was a slab of meat lying on the ground at first. Thank You Santa!!! A good Christmas present ^_^

sorry to hear that !!!!!

I lost the watch also and as I can only play in daylight due to eye issues it took away a large part of my game time. It seems if you set it out and forget to pick it up it vanishes.

So sorry too Nancy. I will just hope I find another. Maybe you should use a cheat to make a new one for yourself considering your eye issues? I've never done it, but it has been tempting.
No chance you accidentally placed into a storage item?

I wish we could get a map of what's in every storage bin on the map.

Nope. I always kept it in my backpack and never left it in my belt. I can think of one time I used it while I was out in the wilds. I may have been a little distracted? Hope lives that it might turn up :) I agree with you about the storage bin maps. Maybe someone would be inspired to make an addon?
I once accidentally dropped my fishing book in a random location and thought I had lost it from a glitch. Then, an in-game year later, I found it sitting next to a tree in a place I don't usually go.
Maybe you also accidentally dropped it?

If not, then you can always cheat it back into your inventory. I don't like cheat codes in any game, but if it's to recover something that the game deleted by mistake, then it's basically troubleshooting.

Tytyty! It's good to know that lost things don't just disappear from the island after a while. I have accidentally dropped things from my helicopter before. I'm still looking around for it.
I agree with you about cheats, but in this case I may try it. ^_^

So you may have pressed Q when flying the helicopter? I've long said it's way too easy to drop valuables in this game. Imo anything worth over a certain number of dinks should have a setting for drop confirmation.

Yes 100! I think dropping items while in a vehicle should be blocked but a confirmation is a better idea. Q is dangerous with twitchy fingers ^_^
