Does more Character Customizations unlock later?

As in, through the course of playing the game? I see that facial-hair and a real bald-head (rather than the 75yrold politicians combover) are used by NPCs, but not available for the player.

Do such options become available and allow me to edit my character later?

Nope, you can't change your appearance other than with clothing or hair cuts (and there are no new haircuts outside of what you have at the character creation). However there are "fake beard" and "fake moustache" clothing items that can be placed in your mask slot.

edit: I might be wrong! I didn't see the option to change your character's face before at Sally's.

I believe Sally the hair dresser does have some hair options that I don't remember seeing when I created my character..eg (the spiked hair do). But she (Sally) can change your hair and color as often as she visits for a price until she moves in permanently which then you can change each day if you wish.

When you have Sally as a resident, you can use the Mirror in her store to change your appearance (including bald head) - eye shape, head, nose, mouth etc.
