Snowfall - bottle of clouds

I know you can influence the game to make the next day a snow day in winter by using the bottle of clouds, but can you quit to menu and reload the day if you wake up to a rainy day instead and the game will reroll if it's snow or rain?

Or do you have to quit to menu after using the bottle and the weather vane notes it as rain verse snow?
