helpers there can look at your file if needed and work out what is happening for you.
my understanding is that all characters we make for Dinkum have a single player file. As we have to create the file and go through a short tutorial on our own islands before we can choose them to use in multiplayer.
so for me I had to go into my single player file and open an island and save the day (sleep save) before I could then choose that character to use in multiplayer files.
though that is for vanilla play style, and not accounting for any mods.
The Summer Sun update changed the back end file system, so all mods where broken. The makers of mods have been hard at work updating their mods, so you can check in the official discord and see what has been updated there.
