grow them yourself - they take time to develop into the full version. fences are good to keep out birds and roos.
when you are friends with town folk they may send them in the mail.
possible to find them in recycling bin
good luck
* fence your field in, fences protect your crops from being eaten
you can jump over the fence if you don't have a gate blueprint, you get such blueprints when you buy level 2 of the Landscaping Licence. gates are useful cause NPCs/residents will water your plants at least from time to time
* you get Watermelon seeds from Rayne, she appears as visitor after you purchased the Farming Licence
* Watermelons grow in Summer & if you let their offshoots into the Autumn, they will still become ripe
* Pumpkin seeds are available in Autum first, if you let their offshoots grow into winter, you can similar to the watermelons harvest them still in the next season
* Watermelons & Pumpkins need one free space around the one field where you plant one to grow offshoots, up to 4 offshoots are possible so don't plant those too narrow
Thanks, exactly how do I put the fences to let grow my seeds?
You can build the crude fence early game then you get new fence blue prints as gifts from town folk as you level up friendship or purchase from Franklin.
To build an item check out the crafting table in Fletch's tent. you can track the recipe till you have all the supplies.
You build a continuous fence and place your crops inside the fenced area.

my entire town is fenced and my farm is fenced within that town fencing. No animals can get in nor do they spawn inside and my crops are safe.
